Where is my data stored?

On your iPhone. With FosterLog Pro it also syncs to your own private iCloud. We never see it. See the privacy policy.

How do I move to a new phone?

Two ways: (1) Settings ▸ Backup & restore ▸ Create backup file, save it to Files or AirDrop it to your computer, then on the new phone choose “Restore from a backup file…”. (2) With FosterLog Pro, sign in to the same iCloud account on the new phone.

I forgot my backup password.

Password-protected backups are encrypted on your phone and the password is never stored anywhere, so nobody — including us — can open the file without it. Create a new backup from the phone that still has your records.

Can I export records for my caseworker or court?

Yes — the Export tab creates a dated PDF for any date range, or a CSV for expenses and mileage.

Can my partner and I both use it?

FosterLog Pro works with Apple Family Sharing, so one purchase covers your household. Live syncing of the same records between two caregivers is on the roadmap.

Does it work in French?

Yes. If your iPhone is set to French, FosterLog — including your PDF reports — appears in French.

Privacy

FosterLog collects nothing. No account, no analytics, no server. Read the full privacy policy (en français).
