FosterLog does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal information. Everything you enter stays on your device. The developer cannot see your data.
FosterLog (“the app”) is a private record-keeping tool for foster and kinship caregivers. Your privacy is the foundation of the app. This policy explains, in plain language, how your information is handled.
All information you enter — including children’s details, visit and contact logs, communication logs, behavior and health notes, medications, appointments, court and custody events, expenses, mileage, contacts, photos, videos, and documents — is stored locally on your device.
If you purchase FosterLog Pro and enable backup, your data syncs to your own private iCloud account using Apple’s iCloud/CloudKit service, so you don’t lose it if you change or reset your device. This data lives in your personal Apple account and is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. The developer of FosterLog cannot access your iCloud data. You can turn backup off anytime in Settings.
The camera and photo library are used only when you choose to scan a document or attach a photo or video; those files stay on your device (and in your iCloud backup if enabled). Medication and appointment reminders are scheduled locally on your device and are not sent through any server.
FosterLog Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment information.
FosterLog is intended for use by adult caregivers. Information you record about children never leaves your device (except to your own iCloud, if you enable backup). We do not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Your data is stored only on your device, so you control it completely. You can delete individual records, archive a child, or use “Delete all data” in Settings. Deleting the app removes its on-device data.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new “Last updated” date.
