ZoomFix reconstructs plausible detail with AI — it doesn't recover real detail that the camera never captured. Faces and edges usually improve dramatically; small text and unfamiliar faces can be imagined. That's why every result comes with a before/after slider, so you judge it yourself.
Pro is a one-time $1.99 purchase — no subscription, ever. It unlocks 50× camera zoom, the Max Detail, N.Tripod and Rapid capture modes, video recording at up to 50×, batch enhancing (up to 30 photos at a time), and the Private Library.
The free tier is a real app, not a trial: Fix a Photo is unlimited and full quality, and the camera shoots AI ×4 at up to 25× zoom. No watermarks, no ads.
Night tripod mode takes a burst of eight frames, aligns them and averages them into one. Averaging real frames divides the noise without inventing anything, so it is the one mode that adds genuine detail rather than reconstructed detail — but it only works if the frames match, which means the phone must not move. Rest it on something; the viewfinder tells you when it is steady enough.
No. Moon mode turns the AI reconstruction off. It meters for the sunlit disc instead of the black sky around it, locks focus at infinity, merges a burst to cut noise, and applies only classical sharpening — which raises contrast on edges your lens actually recorded and cannot manufacture one that was not there. A phone lens resolves roughly 80 points of detail across the moon, enough for the dark maria and the largest craters. Anything finer would be invention, so we do not produce it.
To your photo library, unless you turn on the Private Library (Pro), in which case they stay inside ZoomFix and never enter Apple Photos at all. Rapid mode saves each original with no processing delay so you can enhance the keepers later in Fix a Photo.
Open the paywall (the "Pro" button, top right) and tap Restore Purchases while signed in with the same Apple Account.
Check Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera and make sure ZoomFix is allowed, then relaunch the app. If it persists, email us your device model and iOS version.
Every result says so underneath it — whether the detail was reconstructed by the AI, merged from real frames, or (in Moon mode) left entirely alone. We would rather tell you than let you assume.
