Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 30, 2026

The short version: Tally does not collect, store, or share any personal information. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no third-party tracking. Your lists live on your device and in your own iCloud.

1. Information we collect

We collect nothing. Tally has no accounts and no sign-in. We never ask for your name, email address, phone number, or location, and the app sends no data to any server we operate. We do not operate a server.

2. Your lists and data

Your lists, items, stores, walking orders, prices, and settings are stored on your device. If you are signed into iCloud, this data also syncs to your own private iCloud account so it is available on your other devices and can be restored. That data belongs to you and is governed by Apple's iCloud terms — we have no access to it and no way to read it.

3. Shared lists

When you share a list, Tally uses Apple's iCloud sharing to send an invitation link and to sync that one list between you and the people you invite. The shared data travels through Apple's iCloud, not through us. You can stop sharing at any time from inside the app.

4. Camera, microphone, and photos

Tally can add items from a photo of a handwritten list, from a receipt, or from your voice. All of this is processed entirely on your device using Apple's built-in frameworks. Photos and audio are used to produce list items and are not uploaded, stored by us, or shared with anyone. Nothing you scan or say leaves your phone.

5. Purchases

Tally Plus is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple's App Store. We never see your payment details. Apple tells the app only whether the unlock has been purchased.

6. Third parties

Tally uses no third-party analytics, advertising networks, crash reporters, or social media trackers. We do not sell or share any data, because we do not collect any.

7. Children's privacy

Tally is suitable for all ages. Because the app collects no personal information from any user, it collects none from children. We do not knowingly gather data from anyone, regardless of age.

8. Deleting your data

There is no account to delete. Deleting the app removes its data from your device; deleting Tally's data from iCloud Settings removes the synced copy from your iCloud account.

9. Changes to this policy

If we ever change how the app handles data, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
