Sats or Scams · Last updated August 21, 2026
Nothing personal. Sats or Scams runs entirely on your device. We do not ask for your name, email, location, contacts, or any other personal information, and the app does not create a user account. The only data that ever leaves your device is the optional leaderboard entry described below — and only if you choose to use it.
Your progress — high scores, coins ("sats"), achievements, unlocked items, and settings — is saved locally on your device only. It is never transmitted to us or to any third party. Deleting the app removes this data.
The game has an optional public leaderboard so players can compare their best runs. If you choose to use it, you pick a nickname, and that nickname is stored together with your run results (score, game mode, leverage, and combo or days survived) in Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) public database for this app. Leaderboard entries are visible to other players of the game.
A few things to know:
The nickname is anything you choose — it does not have to be (and we suggest it not be) your real name, and we never link it to your identity, Apple ID, or anything else. Posting to the leaderboard requires being signed in to iCloud on your device; Apple's handling of your iCloud account is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. If you never pick a nickname, nothing is ever posted. You can change your nickname at any time in the game, and if you'd like your leaderboard entries removed, email techbitsmix@gmail.com with the nickname and we'll delete them.
We do not use any analytics tools, advertising networks, or third-party tracking SDKs. The app does not track you across other apps or websites.
Sats or Scams offers one optional in-app purchase (a small "tip"). Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your payment card, billing details, or Apple ID. Apple's handling of that transaction is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
The app collects no personal information from anyone, so it collects none from children, and we do not knowingly gather data from children under 13. Leaderboard nicknames are free-form, so we ask all players not to use their real name or other personal details as a nickname.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
