RigRef — Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 25, 2026

RigRef is built to work entirely on your device, offline. We designed it to collect as little as possible — in practice, nothing about you.

What we collect

Nothing. RigRef has no account, no sign-in, and no analytics or tracking. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information, usage data, or identifiers to us or to any third party.

Where your data lives

All of RigRef's content — the radio reference, frequencies, any repeater lists you import, and any field plans you create — is stored locally on your device. It is not uploaded to us or to any server.

Local network (device-to-device sharing)

If you use the optional "over the air" feature to send or receive a field plan, RigRef uses your local network (Bluetooth / peer-to-peer Wi-Fi) to transfer that list directly between two nearby devices. This happens only when you start a transfer, the data goes only to the device you choose, and nothing passes through us or the internet.

Opening RepeaterBook

If you choose "Find repeaters online," RigRef opens RepeaterBook.com inside an in-app browser so you can export your own repeater list. Your activity on that site is governed by RepeaterBook's own privacy policy. RigRef only reads the file you choose to export; it does not collect or store your browsing.

Purchases

Optional tips and the Supporter unlock are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. RigRef never sees your payment information. Purchases are tied to your Apple ID and can be restored on your devices.

Children

RigRef does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above.
