Miner Watcher is designed to be private by default. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.
The short version
Miner Watcher does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. Everything the app does happens on your own Mac and your own local network.
What the app accesses
Your local network. Miner Watcher communicates directly with your miners over your local network — Bitaxe and NerdAxe / NerdQAxe (via the AxeOS API), Avalon Nano, and Antminer (Bitmain) devices — to read miner status and send control commands such as reboot, pool switch, fan, or performance settings. macOS asks your permission the first time the app scans your network.
On-device storage. Your list of miners and your alert preferences are stored locally on your Mac.
iCloud (optional). If you are signed into iCloud, your miner list may sync across your own Apple devices using Apple's iCloud Key-Value Storage. This is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy and is accessible only to you; the developer cannot see it.
Notifications. If you enable notifications, alerts are generated and delivered locally by your Mac. No alert content is sent to any server operated by the developer.
What the app does NOT do
It does not collect personal information.
It does not use analytics or tracking of any kind.
It does not show advertising.
It does not transmit your data to the developer or any third party.
It does not require an account or sign-in.
Data sharing
None. Because no data is collected, none is shared or sold.
Children's privacy
Miner Watcher does not collect data from anyone, including children.
Third-party services
Miner Watcher can optionally query a public blockchain data source to display current network difficulty and coin price, which power the block-odds and estimated-earnings figures. These requests contain no personal information.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
